As the founder and owner of Richters, with more than 25 years of post-admission experience, Bernhard Richter is an accomplished leader and senior admitted practicing attorney of the High Court of the Republic of South Africa. Bernhard is a specialist corporate and insolvency attorney of standing. His value proposition to his clients is his ability to successfully and in an efficient manner resolve complex disputes, by using his exceptional legal expertise combined with financial acumen and an astute business instinct, gained through many years of diverse experience nationally, internationally and on the African continent. Over the years, Bernhard has represented and acted for a variety of clients in various fora (i.e. courts, tribunals, regulatory bodies, enquiries, arbitrations and the like) and successfully resolved various complicated and sensitive high value commercial disputes, nationally, internationally and on the African continent through expert negotiation, litigation or alternative dispute resolution.  Bernhard has extensive experience, specialised expertise and a specific interest in complex forensic investigations and all aspects of insolvency, business rescue and restructuring, being his forte’.

Bernhard is an accredited member in good standing of: –

• The South African Restructuring and Insolvency Practitioners Association (SARIPA), accredited as a Professional Body for Turnaround Specialists and Business Rescue Practitioners ito Section 138(1) of the Companies Act no 71 of 2008; and
• The International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Professionals (Insol International).
